Change your attitude to change your life

We are halfway through our series about inner changes that lead to the outer changes you desire.  Are you starting to find ways you can make little changes that could have a big impact on your life?  Just as a refresher we have talked about how we view failure, what our values are, and how our beliefs color our world.  Feel free to go back and re-read any of the other posts to gain insight if need be.   This week we are going to talk about Attitude.  What is your attitude when it comes to getting what you want out of life?  Do you believe you deserve anything and everything your heart desires?  Or do you feel like you aren’t worthy of what you want?  Do you look at a plan and think “This will never work for me” or do you think “Hey, why can’t it work it for me?”   

We often hear a lot from society about positivity and negativity but do you notice them in your life? Do you notice how often you are negative?  Has anyone every told you that you are too positive?  I had that happen to me a couple of years ago and it stopped me in my tracks.  How can be being too positive be a bad thing?  Well other than overlooking other people’s negativity, I couldn’t come up with anything bad about it.  What it made me realize is that people who are generally negative are really bothered by people like me who tend to always find the silver lining in everything. That says more about them than it does about me. Some thoughts to journal and reflect on: 

  • What do you notice around you?  How do you visualize the world you live in?

  • After doing the previous thought,  What do you notice about how you visualize the world?  Is there good in it?  Is it mostly bad?  If it is mostly bad, how can you make small changes to make it good for you?  

  • How is your attitude impacting what you see around you?
